Brahmi, what are the advantages and how to consume? plse translate brahmi in malayalam or tamil?, BRAHMI, WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF CONSUMING. ALSO PLSE GIVE MALAYALAM OR TAMIL TRANSLATION.
Brahmi is the sanskrit name for the one which provides or increases intelligence.
The term Brahmi is used for 2 plants-
1)Centella asiatica-belongs to Umbelliferae family
2)Bacopa monnieri-belongs to Scrophulariaceae family

* Action on CNS- improves memory power[it is said if one takes 2-4 leaves of this plant daily for 41 days his memory power increases 10 fold]
Because of its action on brain it can be indicated in all mental disorders like Alzheimer's disease, insanity, epilepsy etc
* Can be used in starting stages of diabetes
* fresh juice of whole plant can be consumed to increase the quantity of breastmilk also improves its quality
* provides strength and acts as a rejuvenator

Both these plants can be consumed as a whole or only leaves can be consumed{without cooking or boiling}. For medicinal purpose clasical medicines like-Brahmi ghrita etc are available, also patent products containing Brahmi are available in market......
But consuming the plant only other than patent medicine is far far better
How to prepare brahmi & various hair oils at home?,
dont know...i was wondering the same thing.
if you boil something like hibiscus flowers or curry leaves or something like that in coconut oil and apply on hair, it will grow...you could try that...
i know of some other two-
Lavender/Rosemary Hair Oil
Quantity: Enough for about 6 months of use.
To Make: Simply mix the two oils together and store in the dark or in a small amber or light-proof bottle.
To Use: Put a few drops of the oil on your palm, brush your palm against your hairbrush and then brush your hair.

-1/4 c pure Vitamin E oil
-1/4 c castor or jojoba oil
-15 drops of rosemary oil
-15 drops of peppermint oil
Place ingredients in a container & mix well. Use one fingertip to dip into the mixture & gently massage.
The ingredients are known to aid in hair growth, which is perfect for helping regrow the hairline.
It is fine to use little every night, only if you clean your hair often (at least a few times per week).
Its important to rinse off heavy oils so they won't clog your hair follicles - which can cause itches
and slow down hair growth.

Directions: Place ingredients in a spray bottle and spray directly on scalp. This will leave your scalp

Yes these are time-tested Indian Ayurvedic medicines extracted from herbs. Another one is Shankpushpi Tel (i think manufactured and marketed by Dabur India Ltd.).

You should visit adoption websites or centres in your State. You could try india.adoption.com - however since a lot of babies are left without any identification or details, I am fairly sure it'll be difficult to find a baby that has the specfics that you require. For example, a mother who abandons her baby on the doorstep is not going to leave a note saying "by the way my baby is of Brahmin heritage" - and any child who is put up for adoption is going to be coming from a financially needy background! The child doesn't even have parents! I am appalled that you are "specific" about what it is that you want in a child! If you want a custom-bred child, why don't you have your own? Must be South Indian? So if a baby is born outside of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala or Andhra Pradesh you're not interested? I truly didn't think such closed minded arrogance still existed.
If Brahmi scripts are indigenous to india, what did the Aryans use?, I read somewhere that the Brahmi script is the original, prototypical orthography which later changed into the great diversity which are the indian languages today. But what did the original indo-aryan invaders write with prior to their entrance into india? and what did the dravidian speakers use ? who used it before the aryan invasion?
Brahmi script is used by the Dravidian's for the languages like Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam.
Aryans were basically Sanskrit speakers they used Devanagari script.

Since nobody has answered yet, I'll toss in my two cents.
I would suggest calling around to local health food stores, drug stores, and grocery stores (to give the best chance of finding one) and ask if they have those products. If you can't find any local stores that sell them, most mail order supplement companies ship internationally and can send those products to you without any problem.
