what is the difference in hydrocodone APAP and hydrocodone acetaminophen?

APAP and Acetaminophen are the same thing. They are shortened versions of N-acetyl-p-amino-phenol.

How do i seperate hydrocodone preparations contain analgesics such as acetaminophen?

Recently i was perscribed hydrocodone 7.5, acetaminophen 750 for a bad leg burn (white pill form). Since acetaminophen is horrible for the liver i want to know a fast and home effective way of extracting the acetaminophen from the hydrocodone so i could take the hydrocodone by itslef separating the two substances. I heard this might be done with salt or something similar. Help please.

You cannot separate the acetaminophen from the hydrocodone.
Hydrocodone is bad for the liver as well.

How long will Hydrocodone show up in a drug test if I took one pill of 5mg hydrocodone/500mg acetaminophen?

Just wondering how long it would stay dectecable. I had a very old prescription and just took one to help with some back pain. Not thinking that i will have to go for a urine test for a driving job.

The half-life of hydrocodone is 3.8 hours. It does leave the body fairly quickly, and moreover, hydrocodone isn't usually tested on 'standard' drug tests (morphine and stronger opiates typically are). In your case, it will probably be undetectable within 24 hours.

What would happen if i took expired Hydrocodone-Acetaminophen?

other wise known as vicoden?

Probably nothing.

In reality, the Army has a warehouse full of expired meds that they have been testing for the last 50 years. Guess what? With the exception of a few drugs (nitro and water purification tablets being the two that I remember of the three), all are just as safe an effective as they day they were made.

So why do meds have an expiration date? It is because the insert information changes over time. And, besides, do you really want to have that med that expired 20 years ago in your medicine cabinet?

Is there anyway to chemically remove the Acetaminophen from Vicodin ES to make pure Hydrocodone?

Is there anyway to chemically remove the Acetaminophen from Vicodin ES to make pure Hydrocodone? Perhaps a coffee filter and some common household items?

I wouldn't think so but if you can do it send me some!

Can I snort Lorcet (Hydrocodone+Acetaminophen) and get faster effects?

I have 7.5mg/600mg Lorcet I want to know if snorting them will make my pain go away faster. Please serious only, I was in a car wreck, and ive taken 4 at a time and my back still hurts. Chiropracter does no good either. Please someone assist me. Just a yes or no would be fine.

First, while it might work faster in the onset, it would also then by the same theory have a shorter overall duration of effect. Secondly, if you are taking 4 at a time then you are exceeding the prescribed dose, and risking liver damage due to excessive acetaminophen intake. Third, acetaminophen, and some of the other inert ingredients in Lorcet were not designed as an inhalant drug, and you will find a quick way of having not only back pain but also mucosal break down and septal issues in the nose requiring surgery. Finally, who is giving you narcotics, for what you are describing as obviously severe spine pain (if you need 30 mg of hydrocodone and still have no relief) and still allows you to see a chiropractor.

If you are truely having this level of pain, you need to be taking a better form of pain medication, which provides better relief, in a more consistent manner. Hydrocodone is not designed for severe pain, and you are describing a need for relief in excess of 30 mg of morphine per dose.

Finally, if you inhale, or overtake the hydrocodone, and return to your physician asking for help, they are likely to refuse. Inhaling a medication prescribed for oral administration is diversion of a controlled substance and is a violation of DEA law.

There are better ways to control your pain without killing yourself.

What happens when you take 2 Lortabs (Acetaminophen 325mgs, Hydrocodone 10mgs)?

I'm starting to feel weird like my vision is going blackish and my head feels cold... and i'm feeling kind of numb. I can still type really fast but i feel really cold in my head, but it feels like my blood or heart rate is like really weird. and my left arm, it feels like someone is trying to take my blood pressure.

seems like you answered your own question there...
and you should be careful with acetaminophen- if taken in high doses or with alcohol it can cause severe and irreversible liver damage.
