adderall overdose?...?

i took an overdose of adderall yesterday and droped a few pounds which was what i was trying to do. but now my arms and legs hurt and so do my kidneys. i know that was a stupid thing to do so please dont lecture me on it, but now i just want to know how i can make sure i didnt cause any serious damage. will my body just detox itself? or is there something i should drink or eat to make sure my kidneys and liver dont have permanant damage?

ya don't OD that's dumb...but you should eat to give your liver and kidneys cushion against all the medicine...dilution affect...Also, charcoal absorbs bad things in the body. You can get charcoal pills in the store. They're gross though.

How long do the symptoms of an Adderall overdose last for?

I have been extremely busy with school lately and am prescribed to adderall, so about 2 nights ago I took a 30mg to help me concentrate. I had to work the next day and didn't want to crash, so I took one right before work. Then, I had more work to do that night, so I took another one that night because the last one seemed to be wearing off. I started hallucinating and getting a fever and throwing up after a while, however, and I think I may have accidentally overdosed with taking 90mg in 1 1/2 days. Those symptoms are gone, however I am now experiencing a breathing problem that comes and goes as the day goes on. I haven't taken any Adderall since then, but does anyone know how long the symptoms of an overdose last for?

well, for starters, this breathing problem is pretty serious and you might experience heartburn so I would recommend you to stop talking Adderall for at least sometime until your side effects fades away and also see a doctor.

Usually the side effects last for at least a day and latest would be 5 days. But seriously see a doctor.

hope this helps^_^

It can last between 12 - 24 hours my son took too much and at the wrong time of day.He couldn't sleep at all that night and the next morning he was crying because of the hallucinations. It wasn't until late that evening he finally started acting normal.

About how much millagrams does it take to overdose on Adderall?

No i am not contemplating suicide. I need to know for health class.

Where to find info about Adderall-related deaths WITH intent to overdose?

I've tried to look up cases where people have died from Adderall with the intent to overdose, yet I haven't been luck yet. Does anyone know where one can find that kind of information? Also, if you know of any such incidents, can you mention how much they were taking, their age, sex, etc.?

i have overdosed on adderall, It would be very hard to get killed, because it would take ALOT, and i dont think anyone has been that stupid to take 25.

It really depends on what millgram, how much and if its time realease or not.

I took 15, 30 miligram, that were not time realese, it was very dreadful, My heart rate was 200, I couldnt eat, and when i tried to, my body refused and my throaght would close up and i puked for hours.

And i didnt sleep for 48 hours.

It was very painful, i felt sick for about 5 days.

And very weak.

I dont know where you could find a case on it though :/

How Adderall OverDose?

Would 20 pills of 20mg adderall kill you? or just make you experience side effects. Should the dosage be higher like 50 pills of 20mg?

About 10 pills at 30mg is about the equivalent to a very low dose of Meth. 50 pills will kill you. If you want that much of a rush, just go do some meth or heroine, thats a lot safer then taking that many prescription pills, you will OD.

i think i have had an adderall overdose?

uh, i took like 150 mg of adderall and have no clue what will happen. Dont type dumb things like your being irresponsible and stuff... i know i am. what are the symptoms of an overdose, and is 150mg alot? what could happen?

thanks

i think you'll be alright, try to relax.

if not you'll heart will probably explode and you will die a very slow painful death.

but I know people who took that much before and they lived.

How many adderall/mg do you have to take to overdose if you weigh 178?

I'm not trying to overdose/kill myself, I just want to know, so anyone whos smart with stuff like this, help me out. :P

'physicians desk reference' book should have the LD50 . that's the lethal dose required to kill at least half the test subjects . more than likely you will end up on dialysis the rest of your life . ask for help . you need to get your mind right . strive to endeavor .

Is it possible to experience an Adderall overdose on under 50mg?

*Let me start off by saying I do not have ADD, ADHD, or any variation of the two. I realize that the consumption of drugs, especially those not prescribed to an individual, is both irresponsible and potentially very dangerous. I would appreciate if those readers who feel the need to lecture me on the numerous hazards of ingesting Adderall without a prescription would refrain from doing so, as it has already happened. The purpose of this "question" is more so to tell about my experience and (hopefully) help someone with a similar experience as mine. That being said...*

I have taken Adderall in the past, perhaps 5 or 6 times over a course of 4 years, and have always felt the "expected" side effects of the drug, (increased heart rate, dry mouth, etc.). I'd typically take one 25mg XR pill, and then a 10mg or 15mg pill an hour or two later (depending on my workload).

Last week I took two 10mg pills in an effort to help myself study for exams. After about two hours (what I considered to be a generous time frame for them to kick in) I still felt nothing. I proceeded to take another two pills, knowing that I usually work best running on between 35-40mg.

About an hour later, I started to feel them. It was about that time that I began experiencing stomach pain, which was uncomfortable, but paled in comparison to the overwhelming headache I soon felt. I became very lightheaded, nauseated, and clammy. I began vomiting every half hour, for the next 4 hours.

Knowing this was obviously a reaction to the Adderall, I began searching the internet for signs of an overdose. I came across numerous websites (this one included) detailing some of the same symptoms I was experiencing. However, many of the signs that were on the sites, I didn't have such as hallucinations, tremors, or chills. (It wasn't until after calling Poison Control that I learned the characteristics of an overdose may or may not include all the listed signs.) Another problem I encountered was that the individuals asking the questions regarding the overdose had taken significant amounts more than I had. A lack of information regarding what I specifically was going through is why I am now answering my own question...

Basically, you can overdose on Adderall without experiencing all of the symptoms typically associated with one. If you're feeling any combination of the signs, there's a chance you've overdosed. Also, it doesn't require taking 100's of mg of Adderall to overdose; it can occur taking as little as 40mg- it's all dependent on the individual, what they've eaten, other medications, etc.

I'll say that although I was DEFINITELY scared because of my reaction, at no point did I feel that my life was in serious danger, or that I required immediate medical attention. Had this been the case I would have absolutely gone to the emergency room, despite knowing my parents would be FURIOUS. I'd rather have angry parents than be dead... I drank a lot of water to combat the dehydration and to try to flush what was left of the drug out of my system. I had several friends watching me to make sure I stayed coherent. I was lucky enough to feel "ok" after a few hours (ok is in quotes because, realistically, how great do you actually feel after an Adderall comedown...).

In any case, I learned my lesson in regards to using Adderall without a prescription. I really hope this helps anyone who may be going through what I did to be able to take a breather and know they're going to be ok. I wish I'd read something like this while I was on the verge of panic. However, know that every person is different, and if you feel as though you are in trouble, please call 911 or Poison Control.

no, it obviously was not an overdose. i can say that i know how you feel because the same thing has happened to me and none of my friends can understand why i even do drugs.
