What is the lethal dose of hydrocodone?

What is it, it's uses, symptoms, but most importantly the LD (lethal dose).

Lethal dose is just depending on the person. ive been in my person experience someone a male around 180 lbs take 10-15 10 MG a day and not effect him but thats after he has taken them as a "fun" drug for 5 years straight and build up a tolerence for them.
Ive seen girls take 2- (5mgs) and about overdose. just depnds
USUALLY:
Hydrocodone is a effective antitussive also a moderate pain reliver . Basically its same as morphin
there is over 200 pills with just hydrocodine in it such as loritabs ext.or plain hydrocodine
its a schedule II controlled substance its habit forming ,so withdrawels takes a long time and is horrible
Simptoms or signs of an overdose is :
bluish tinge to skin, cold and clammy skin, extreme sleepiness progressing to a possible state of unresponsiveness or coma, heart problems, heavy perspiration, kidney problems, limp muscles, liver failure, low blood pressure, nausea, slow heartbeat, troubled or slowed breathing, and vomiting.

What is the max dose of hydrocodone?

Is 10mg of Hydrocodone the max dose? Would any more than that be lethal?

The human body can learn to withstand a large amount of opiates. Tylenol is put into Vicodin (and other such drugs) not only for the added analgesic affect but also to deter people from abusing them. It is the acetaminophen that you need to be concerned with. If you are opiate naive, meaning your body is not used to taking opiates, then you also need to be careful of CNS depression. This can cause your breathing to become very shallow and eventually stop. This is not very conducive to life.
It is very common for people to take much more than 20mg of hydrocodone. Abusers of Vicodin can often take 50 or more pills in a single day. That would be 250mg+ of hydrocodone. Keep in mind that that is a LOT of acetaminophen and that they have grown tolerant to the hydrocodone's affects.

What is the lethal dose of codeine?

ok so i have a really high tolerance for opiates. i weight 160 pounds, and i can take 3 10mg hydrocodone and its nothin, ive takin up to five before. so i was wondering what my lethal dose would be, im not trying to od, im trying not to so by answering this you could really help me.
dont tell me im stupid or dumb....thanks

Well 10 mg of hydrocodone is not alot, so that does not mean that you have a high tolerance so you should be careful. Hydrocodone is not the same thing as codein either. Hydrocodone is an opiate where as codeine is not so if you are going to be taking the medications you should atleast know what your talking about so you dont do anything stupid. A lethal dose can be different for everyone it depends on height weight and tolerance. I wouldnt say that you have that high of a tolerance, and I dont really know your body fat analysis, because if you are short and have more fat on your bvody then you could handle more of a drug than someone who is tall and slender so you should be careful and talk to your doctor because if your beiong prescribed these medications then you need to take the dose they are telling you to take. Please be careful you do not want to overdose because noone can give you an actual doseage that will kill you, and you dont want to experiment and find out.

What is the highest dose of acetaminophen that you can take before its lethal?

in other words what is the highest safe dose you can take?

im also wondering, does vicodin come in 10mg of hydrocodone and only 325mg of acetaminophen? is is that not a common dose of acetaminophen with vicodin?

4 grams. That breaks down to 4000mg. Most Tylenol is 500mg, so the max would be 8 tabs OR caps in 24 hours. Excess Tylenol can cause severe irreversible liver damage. Hope this helps

What is normaly a lethal or dangerious dose of Vicodin?

NOT counting the obvious liver and other problems associated with the acetaminophen, as that is another issue all together. i know it is usualy perscribed in 5, 10 and 15 mg tablets. so i guess this is more of a hydrocodone question.

im not trying this or some kind of junkie, just have a hobby of drugs and how they interact with the body. :)

The problem is you can't separate the acetaminophen from the hydrocodone. Some methods have been used on the street, but they're not all that effective.

As little as 4000mg of acetaminophen can kill an adult, but it usually takes higher amounts - 10 grams (10,000 mg) or more.

Hydrocodone is more nebulous. If a person has no history of using opioids, as little as 40mg could be dangerous. Yet, in patients that are tolerant, such as cancer patients, I've seen as much as 200mg given a day, which would kill a non-opioid tolerant person.

Hope this helps.

What is the side effects of Homatropine methylbromide if taken in high but not lethal doses?

I am doing a research project on Opioid abuse and "syrup" is becoming very popular in the media. basically im showing how the government is starting to combat opioid abuse.

They mix Homatropine methylbromide and hydrocodone to make hycodan. it says Homatropine methylbromide is included in a subtherapeutic amount to discourage deliberate overdosage.
What would happen if you drank this cough syrup in access? death? thanks so much for your help ^_^

here's a link to the FDA: http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/drugsatfda_docs/label/2009/005213s037lbl.pdf

Homatropine in excess dries up skin, dilates pupil, increases intra ocular pressure, burrs vision increases heart rate. It is a parasympatholytic

homatropine CH3Br would have atropine like side effects. see the following:

Most of the side effects of atropine are directly related to its antimuscarinic action. Dryness of the mouth, blurred vision, photophobia and tachycardia commonly occur with chronic administration of therapeutic doses. Anhidrosis also may occur and produce heat intolerance or impair temperature regulation in persons living in a hot environment. Constipation and difficulty in micturition may occur in elderly patients. Occasional hypersensitivity reactions have been observed, especially skin rashes which in some instances progressed to exfoliation.

Adverse effects following single or repeated injections of atropine are most often the result of excessive dosage. These include palpitation, dilated pupils, difficulty in swallowing, hot dry skin, thirst, dizziness, restlessness, tremor, fatigue and ataxia. Toxic doses lead to marked palpitation, restlessness and excitement, hallucinations, delirium and coma. Depression and circulatory collapse occur only with severe intoxication. In such cases, blood pressure declines and death due to respiratory failure may ensue following paralysis and coma.

hopefully, anyone trying to get high on hycodan would find the side effects unpleasant and would
not want to repeat the experience.

~Need my bottom right wisdom tooth extracted. It has large carie, and is infected. Can't get help.~?

Here is my problem. 1 wisdom tooth, 75% of the enamel is gone, it's abscessed (infected) , and hurt 95% of the day.
Is there a way to get rid of the pain? I'm currently taking near lethal doses of ibuprofen (3,000MG every 24 hours), and very high doses of acetaminophen (about 4,000MG every 24 hours). These 2 drugs do almost nothing. Regular aspirin does nothing. I decided to try hydrocodone (left over from something else) , hoping to get some sleep (only sleep I got the last week was when I literally passed out), well I got about 20 minutes sleep before I woke up with severe pain, and could not go back to bed.
Topical antiseptics do not work.

My major problem is: No dentist in my area will accept payments, there are no free/low cost dental clinics, none of the 4 ERs in my area will accept patients with tooth problems. There isn't even enough enamel left for me to try pulling it myself.
My zip code is 47129.
Any ideas?

My only suggestion would be to contact the University of Louisville Dental school (you are right near there, right?) and see if they have available low-cost dental care. While there may not be any clinics around the area, often dental schools will perform simple procedures such as pulling a tooth for a small amount of money as a teaching excercise for their students. If you haven't checked already, it is worth a shot. I would be very careful about the acetaminophen if I were you, as it can cause severe liver damage.
