Problems with having low estrogen levels, please help?
I am in my early twenties, constantly getting vaginal infections, am irritated and red every day of my life, missing periods, and intercourse with my fiance is impossible because my skin is so thin it rips. My gyno says there is no doubt i am seriously lacking estrogen- but he does not believe in perscribing hormones due to endometrial cancer risk. All i can do is take birth control pills and premarin topical cream. This is not enough, because i only am getting minor releif. I am planning on marriage soon, and hoping to start a family in the next few years. Will having low estrogen now pose a problem for when i want to conceive? How can i even have a sexual relationship with my husband if i am always so sore? Is it really that dangerous to take estrogen? or should i find a doctor who can perscribe it for me? I don't want the risk of cancer, but I'd like to be able to live a normal life. If i were given hormones for treatment would i have to take it forever, or temporarily? Help!
why not take a natural supplement that encourages your body to produce the estrogen naturally? It is called DHEA, and it is a hormonal precursor, normally produced by the adrenal glands. Perhaps for some reason you do not produce enough DHEA which would lead to you not producing enough estrogen. I would suggest trying the DHEA and see if it helps. Personally, I take 100mg per day and find it very helpful in maintaining my hormonal balance.
Calling all breastfeeding moms/menopausal women I need to know what to do about very painful intercourse?
Okay so I have a 4 month old son and are breastfeeding, about a month ago intercourse became very painful, not just dry, but it feels very tight inside,so I went to my OBGYN and he prescribed me premarin cream and it worked for about 3 weeks, after that when I used it the last time about 2 weeks ago, I started having very bad cramps, headaches, and I noticed my a little hair loss, which are all common side effects, so I quit using it, its not worth it to have cramps that bad to me. So now intercourse is painful again, Is there any other method that I can use or anything I can do to help this problem? Please any info you can give me will help. Thank you
When I was nursing, my sex life got all screwed up. Didn't help that my milk would come down whenever I got sexually aroused. What a mess!
Because you're breast feeding you really don't want to take any medicines or hormonal creams or anything that might end up in your milk. For the short term try some over the counter lubricants, like K-Y. That should help with the dryness. And even though you have less time than ever now that there is a baby in the house, don't let your partner short-change you on the foreplay!
Good luck, I hope you're feeling more like yourself soon.
Post Menopausal & Vagina Dryness?
I am a 52 year old post menopausal female that smokes. I am in a new relationship and sex has not been possible because of painful intercourse and vagina dryness. My dr gave me Premarin but that has not helped. Can anyone suggest any herbal or other suggestions that can resolve this issue for a smoker? Thank you!
If you're a smoker, your idiot doctor should NOT have given you an estrogen-loaded supplement!
Try a newer product on the market by KY called LiquiBeads. They moisten the vagina for up to 4 days with one application. And try a high-quality personal lubricant such as I.D. or AstroGlide. And consider changing doctors.....
Ok heres the deal?

I don't have any info on your question but I saw no one has responded and I know how that feels. It feels like all of my questions get ignored while others that I have seen countless times have 15 answers. So I just wanted to let you know I am thinking about you and hope you find the answers that you need.
How can I prevent itching after sex?
I am 40 years old and married. My husband and I have sex about once every six weeks or so. For the past four or five years, I have suffered with severe vaginal itching that begins around three days after we've had intercourse. I have been tested for STD's and do not have any. We do not use any creams, gels, lotions, or oils. I have no trouble getting properly lubricated. We don't use condoms or any latex items. We have a rather vanilla sex life that doesn't include the use of any marital aids. Yeast infection treatments don't help, nor does Vagisil. I end up rubbing myself raw and frequently get tiny spots of blood on my toilet tissue. After suffering for a couple of days, it just seems to ease and I heal up. I asked my doctor, she tested for about everything and seemed to be in a quandary. She gave me some Premarin cream but that hasn't seemed to help at all. My only real health issue is rheumatoid arthritis that is currently in remission. My husband is a diabetic. This ONLY happens after sex and I'm to the point where I dread having it. This is ruining my marriage. Does anyone else suffer from this? If so, have you found a solution?
Take Nit.Ac 30,4 pills 3 times daily for 7 days.Its Homoeopathic medicine.
Relief for vaginal tear?
I'm 24 yo and I have had this small tear in my vagina, about and inch and a half inside from the opening. I can't see the cut but after intercourse I have a small amount of blood when I wipe. I went to the gyno and she prescribed premarin, I used it and refrained from sex for about 2 weeks and I still had blood after intercourse. This has been going on for about two years. I got tested for EVERYTHING and all was negative. I have read tons of forums and it seems like a lot of women have this issue but no resolution. I've tried lubes, although I'm well lubricated naturally, and extra foreplay and it doesnt help. Is there anyone that has had this and was able to heal it?
Try using unprocessed honey, it is a great healer of tears and cuts and will also clear anything else that might be lurking around. Treat the area twice a day, morning and evening before you go to bed for one week. It would be wise not to have sex during this time however if you do then treat the area after.blog comments powered by Disqus
